brand

This module is about building brand awareness getting your online business out there letting people know who you are and what you have to offer. There are various ways of doing this you can use forums and other blogs related to your niche leave helpful and valuable comments, you need to establish yourself as a leader or expert in your field. DO NOT ADVERTISE!!!!.

Social networks are also a great way to get your brand to the public, this includes:
YouTube ,FaceBook , Twitter, Your blog and many more…

Video sharing sites (like YouTube) are great places for promotion and will drive masses of traffic to your site. Dean is covering video marketing in the last module.

One of the most important elements of succeeding with a new brand is a logo & story of the brand itself. These days you really have to stand out from the crowd and think outside of the box to make it work.

Produce a story around your brand or product, have a logo that looks great and that represents the overall visual impression of what you sell or what you offer.

List Lingo – Week 4 Of Dean Holland Starting With Marketing

I am in week 4 of Dean Holland’s Starting With Marketing coaching program. If you want to read pervious weeks modules click here
Module 4List Lingo

This module is about building a mailing list of valuable subscribers. Dean said, “the money is not in the list! the money is in the relationship you form with subscribers on your list. The way to form relationships with your subscribers on your list is by providing great value that will help them progress in their online business, such as giving free information and providing solutions that will help and educate the subscriber.

How to build a list

There are three ways of doing this you can have an opt-in form as you can see on the top right of my blog, have an opt-in form in your blog post or by using a landing page with an opt-in form on it, which is also called a squeeze page.

The tools that you need to build a list is a autoresponder, free information or product to giveaway and a website for example look at the screenshot below:

Screenshot of my blog setup guide mailing list:

optin2

Check out another example of building a mailing list my Blog Setup Guide squeeze page

1/ website

You need a blog or a website to promote your free information to your protential subscribers

2/ Provide free information of value

You need free valuable information to give to your subscribers in order for them to opt-in to your website, which could be a newsletter, ebook, videos etc. If you don’t have your own report you can use resell rights products.

3/Description

You need to write the benefits of your product and what value it would provide to your potential subscriber.

4/ Autoresponder

You would need a reliable autoresponder I would recommend using Aweber or jvlistpro, which I personally use they have amazing support and training.

Look out for more information on list building in future posts…

Traffic Tanks – Week 3 Of Dean Holland Starting With Marketing

I have just started week 3 of Dean Holland’s Starting With Marketing coaching program. If you want to read pervious weeks modules click here
Module 3Traffic Tanks

As you know the biggest hurdle people face in their online business, is knowing how to drive targeted traffic to their websites. Without traffic, no one will be visiting your website, no one will purchase your product or service, quite frankly no one will know your online business exist.

Tracking Your Website Traffic

In the training modules Dean Holland discuss the importance of tracking traffic that is coming to your website, so you can see what traffic methods are working and to adjust your traffic strategies accordingly. The wordpress plugin that I use to track my traffic is Google Analyticator. Google Analyticator has features that I find useful such as a dashboard widget that displays a graph of the last 30 days of visitors, summary of site usage, the top pages, the top referrers, and the top searches. Google Analyticator also integrates well wth Google analytics.

You will also need to register for an Google analytics account to get your detailed traffic reports sign up here

[Screenshot]- of my blog Traffic report

Dashboard - Google Analytics_1250093951511

As you can see from the screenshot Google Analytics gives you detailed reports of visitors, traffic sources, content pages look at, keyword analysis etc.. all of this imformation can be use to give you an idea of which keywords are popular to use, the best content to add on your website, the best social media, forums, blog sites to add your posts too etc…

Free Traffic Methods

Currently their are free and paid ways of driving targeted traffic to your blog or website. The main focus of this module is how to utilise the free methods to your advantage to drive targeted traffic to your site. Here are some of the free methods to drive traffic:

Search Engine Optimization
Using targeted keyword phrases in your blog title and continuously in your posts can also help drive traffic to your website.

Blog / forum posting
Submiting comments on other blogs or forums related to your niche, you are establishing yourself as a knowledgeable member of a community and if done properly, an expert with valuable information to share.

Social Media
Posting your websites url post to social media sites to drive traffic back to your website. Is another effective way of getting targeted visitors to your website.

I hope these traffic tips has helped you on your online business…In the next coming weeks I will post other effective ways to drive more traffic to your site.
